This wood clarinet was manufactured in the late 1940s. Nothing looked too out-of-the-ordinary from what I expected. This is a Buffet Pre-R13 model Bb clarinet, serial number 33333. I tried basing my decision on the photos shown here I am just a little doubtful that Buffet would've made these kinds of changes to the B12 so late in its lifespan. But it's still a little annoying that I paid for a Buffet and got a knockoff if true. It's not the end of the world since I only needed this B12 for playing outside (since we're not allowed to play inside anymore). ![]() The thumbrest looks like the one on my R13, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary about the keywork. The logos all looked to be in the right place and not super warped like in some pictures I saw. I tried researching on here prior to making this purchase if it were one of the fake Buffets, but I'm thinking I still managed to get one. The box it came in looked pretty consistent from what I've seen in some YouTube videos. The only text visible on the lower joint is the serial number, which is at the bottom near the bell.
